Easy DIY Pre-Conditioner For Glossy Hair

I have recently discovered that the "secret" of great hair (at least for me) is deep conditioning before co-washing. This simply means applying conditioner on my hair and leaving it on for at least 15 minutes, before I wash it. It makes my hair much more moisturised and soft because the ingredients penetrate deep into the hair, instead of just staying on the surface when I have the conditioner on only for a few minutes.

I took this pre-conditioning a step further by adding stuff to the conditioner. I love this recipe from Olympia at the Long Hair Community:

Pre-conditioner recipe for soft and glossy hair:

One tablespoon aloe-vera (fresh or gel -- I used concentrate) + three tablespoons of conditioner + one teaspoon jojoba oil.
Whip it all into a cream, any apply on dry hair. Olympia keeps it on for 5-7 minutes, I prefer half an hour.

The effects: very soft, smooth hair. I didn't get that much gloss (probably because I didn't use an aloe vera gel but a concentrate) but my hair was so amazingly soft that I was running my fingers through it all the day.
If you are buying an aloe vera gel, make sure that it contains as much as aloe vera as possible (peek at the ingredients list).

Let me know how this worked for you!
